POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Training and Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs across all departments of the company. The role requires hands-on experience in training development, deep technical knowledge across multiple departments, and the ability to enhance employees’ skills and knowledge effectively. The manager will ensure that the workforce is equipped with the necessary technical and soft skills to improve performance, productivity, and safety in our chemical manufacturing operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Education: MBA in Human Resources, SHRM, CPIDHR, or any related HR qualifications.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in training and development, with at least 5 years in a similar managerial role in the manufacturing sector, ideally in chemical manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Core Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of departmental functions within chemical manufacturing, including production processes, quality control, safety protocols, and maintenance.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deliver complex technical training content to diverse audiences.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage training initiatives across multiple departments, driving employee engagement and development.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess training effectiveness and make improvements.
  • Driving License: Valid UAE driving license.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with training management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of employee learning and development trends, such as e-learning, blended learning, and gamification techniques.
  • Certification in training development (e.g., Train-the-Trainer, CPLP).
  • Experience working in the chemical manufacturing or related industries.
Responsibilities
  • Training Program Development: Design and implement training programs tailored to each department, focusing on technical knowledge and skills relevant to the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs for various departments (e.g., production, R&D, quality control, safety, and maintenance).
  • Hands-on Training Delivery: Provide hands-on, practical training to employees, ensuring that the training is directly applicable to their daily roles and responsibilities.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest advancements in chemical manufacturing techniques, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure training materials are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve employee learning and development.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all training programs comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a culture of continuous learning by encouraging employee participation in training and development activities.
  • Report and Analytics: Maintain records of all training programs conducted and prepare regular reports to management on training progress and outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with departmental heads to ensure training needs are aligned with company goals and specific departmental requirements.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Provide ongoing support and coaching to employees post-training to ensure successful implementation of learned skills in the workplace.
