The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Training Device Technician 3 at the Miami Training Campus in Miami, Florida. The Training Device Technician 3 will maintain and repair flight simulators and associated training equipment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years’ experience in the field of simulation, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or trainers, and/or 5+ years in Aircraft Avionics Maintenance
  • 3+ years’ experience in troubleshooting and testing hardware and software.
  • 3+ years’ experience with electronic/electrical systems
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years’ experience in maintaining CAE, TRU, L3, and/or FSI Full Flight Simulators
  • Experience in assisting in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software.
  • Associates Degree

TYPICAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years’ related work experience, 5 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Responsibilities
  • Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training device;
  • Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted equipment.
  • Assist with repair and test, install, configure, upgrade and assist in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software;
  • Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components;
  • Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators;
  • Assist engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment;
  • Troubleshoot to isolate faults and repair faulty components;
  • Work under limited supervision
