Description
The Training Instructor is responsible for many activities, mainly the development, organization, and delivery of different training courses for the company’s product line. These courses are designed for distributors, customers, and Manitowoc employees, ensuring that all groups receive clear and updated knowledge about products and processes, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment. The instructor must also keep detailed records and reports of all training activities to ensure proper tracking and compliance with company standards. The main focus will be to support the growth of training programs in the region and help strengthen the company’s presence in the Latin American market. Responsibilities: Follow schedules and instructions from superiors Cooperate with Engineering, Production, Quality. Assurance and other departments to gather technical and general subject material. Develop and prepare presentations. For approved courses, create outlines, classroom presentations, and collect all required training materials and equipment. Coordinate with internal teams for visual and illustrative materials. Work with art, photography, and other personnel to design charts, photos, movies, and other presentation materials; obtain commercial or developed resources when approved. Prepare and submit course outlines and lectures. Deliver finished outlines and lectures for review and approval before implementation. Conduct training sessions. Teach classes for company staff, distributors, and customers on service, maintenance, and repair operations for tower crane products and components. Evaluate participants. Do regular performance evaluations of training participants and suggest continuous improvements to programs. Support technical and safety training. Help with technical and safety training initiatives, making sure they follow international and local standards. Act as a link between departments. Work as a connection between technical, commercial, and after-sales teams to align training content with real market needs. Required Skills/Abilities: Communication skills – Speak and write clearly to explain training content. Presentation skills – Ability to teach and keep participants engaged. Organization – Plan courses, prepare materials, and manage schedules. Technical knowledge – Understand company products and processes. Adaptability – Adjust training methods for different audiences. Teamwork – Work well with other departments and colleagues. Problem-solving – Identify training needs and suggest improvements. Record keeping – Maintain accurate reports and documentation. Computer skills – Use PowerPoint, e-learning platforms, and video tools. Safety awareness – Support training that follows local and international standards. English language – Ability to read, write, and speak English. Smartphone use – Handle and operate a smart cell phone Required Education and Experience: Education – bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field. Experience – At least 2–3 years of experience in training, teaching, or technical instruction. Industry knowledge – Experience with technical products, machinery, or equipment is preferred. Language – Ability to read, write, and speak English; Portuguese is a plus for Latin America. Technology use – Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and e-learning platforms. Communication – Proven ability to present information clearly to different audiences. International exposure – Experience working with multicultural teams or global customers is desirable. Travel Required: (Percentage 0-100) Percentage: Approximately 20–40% of the time. Purpose of travel: To deliver training sessions at company sites, distributor facilities, or customer locations. Frequency: Occasional domestic and international trips, depending on training schedules and business needs. Conditions: Travel may include warehouse visits, classroom sessions, and customer site inspections. Other Duties: Willing to relocate to Monterrey Mexico for this position. Perform administrative tasks related to training programs as assigned. Manage training rise up website. Including posting courses and participation in courses offered. Support special projects or initiatives connected to employee development. Assist in updating training manuals, guides, and digital content. Provide feedback to management on training effectiveness and participant needs. Help organize logistics for training sessions (rooms, equipment, materials). Participate in meetings with supervisors and other departments when required. Carry out any other duties assigned by management that support the training function.
