Description
The Training Lead position is a full-time position with travel requirements. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Support Operations leadership in the development, coordination, and execution of training programs for Supplier Specialists (SST), Rapid Response Team (RRT), and related operational roles Responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining onboarding and ongoing training content, including classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training Develop and maintain training materials such as presentations, job aids, process documentation, and standardized work instructions Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding training and ensure training completion is documented and tracked Partner with Operations Leadership to identify skill gaps, training needs, and performance improvement opportunities Ensure training aligns with OEM standards, tools, procedures, and customer-specific requirements Track, update, and report training metrics, certification status, and competency assessments as directed Support continuous improvement initiatives by updating training materials to reflect process changes, lessons learned, and best practices Provide coaching, refresher training, and performance-based training support as needed Maintain a working understanding of customer requirements, supply chain processes, production environments, and operational constraints Ensure training activities are completed in accordance with OEM standardized tools, procedures, and compliance requirements Model professional workplace behaviors including dependability, integrity, cooperation, commitment to quality and customer service, open communication, and flexibility Adhere to all OEM rules, codes of conduct, quality procedures, and safety requirements Travel may be required Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Training & Development, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing, operations, or supplier-facing experience required (Aerospace, Defense, Ship Building, or Submarine Industry experience preferred) Experience developing and delivering training programs in an operational or manufacturing environment preferred Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license US citizenship required Working knowledge of Supply Chain, Customer Service, Shop Floor Operations, or OEM-driven processes Familiarity with adult learning principles, continuous improvement concepts, Lean Manufacturing, or process improvement tools preferred Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, organization, and attention to detail Ability to assess performance gaps, analyze training effectiveness, and recommend improvements Hands-on operational experience that supports credibility in a training environment Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required
