SUMMARY:
The Cubic Defence Australia (Cubic) Registered Training Organisation (RTO #41256) Training Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Cubic RTO, that includes overseeing the development, implementation, and delivery of training within the Cubic RTO framework. This is a broad role that also involves managing the scope of registered training, managing trainers, ensuring compliance with national standards and continuously developing the RTO and improving the quality of training delivery and educational outcomes.
Reporting to the Director for Strategic Development, the role is based in Townsville, North Queensland, however training delivery is delivered nationally in both face-to-face and digital formats.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
Responsible for the governance, management, training delivery, assessment, and managing training resources within Cubic Defence Australia.
Responsible for developing and managing the Cubic RTO Scope of registered training. This task includes development and management of training Quality Assurance under the CDAus Quality Management System, including the conduct of audits to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
The role specifically includes managing and delivering the Simulation and Interactive Technology training strategy; delivering Certificate III, developing Certificate IV and micro-credentials.
Working closely with Cubic IT and technical simulation staff, the RTO Training Manager shall manage and oversee CDAus Information and Communications Technology (ICT) tools, integration, change management and content as required to provide administrative, instructional and user support to training managers, other stakeholders and students as well as to support RTO compliance to the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) requirements for national Vocational Education and Training (VET).
Management of the RTOs candidates and students, approaches to market and student experience. Student experience includes managing communications with students, ensuring communications are supported in forms that suit the training delivery method, are timely, effective and that they contribute to the student learning outcomes and success in achieving training and education standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Cubic RTO stakeholders, including students and candidates / potential students; industry and academic partners; peak bodies and industry standards organisations; client organisations including the Australian Defence Force and Australian defence industry; government representatives and agencies; and Cubic internal stakeholders.
Represent Cubic at industry forums, stakeholders engagement events, and Government or industry body organised functions as required to support the development of the RTO.
Perform financial management functions in relation to the RTO in accordance with Cubic’s financial procedures and One Cubic Authority matrix for managing delegations.
The RTO Training Manager is also required to support other training development, delivery and management task within Cubic as required.
Manage the RTO’s compliance to and development of cybersecurity practices in line with Cubic’s corporate IT frameworks. This includes the ability to identify which standards apply, what security controls are relevant and ensure that they are designed into a solution when it is developed.
