Position Title: Training Manager Location: Lewis Center, OH (Onsite) Reports To: HR Manager FLSA Class:Exempt Pay Range: $90,000-$110,000/Yr. The Opportunity: We are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Training Manager to design and deliver high-quality training content for our workforce. This role sits at the intersection of instructional design, content strategy, and cross-departmental partnership. You will work closely with subject matter experts across security compliance and every major department — operations, engineering, IT, finance, HR, and more — as well as our in-house content creator, to translate specialized knowledge into clear, engaging training guides and learning programs. With roughly three-quarters of our workforce comprised of security professionals and the balance spanning corporate and technical functions, this role requires both depth in security industry knowledge and the versatility to develop compelling materials for diverse learner audiences. Why This Role Stands Out * Build a Learning Culture – Shape the training foundation for a fast-growing national workforce at the forefront of AI-driven security technology * True Cross-Functional Reach – Collaborate with SMEs across every department — security compliance, operations, engineering, IT, finance, HR, and more — to capture and share organizational knowledge * Creative Partnership – Work alongside our in-house content creator to produce polished, visually compelling training materials that engage learners at every level * High Visibility – Report directly to the HR Manager and play a key role in how our entire organization learns, grows, and performs * Equity Upside – Participate in company equity programs, aligning your impact with long-term enterprise value creation What You'll Do Content Development & Instructional Design: * Partner with SMEs across security compliance and all major departments to capture, structure, and translate their expertise into high quality training guides, SOPs, and learning materials. * Collaborate with our in house content creator to produce professional, engaging training content across multiple formats- written guides, visual aids, video scripts, and e-learning modules. * Design and maintain comprehensive training curriculum covering onboarding, role specific training, annual refreshers, and specialized programs for both security personnel and corporate staff. * Continuously assess and improve training materials for accuracy, clarity, and learner engagement. Cross Departmental Collaboration: * Serve as the central liaison between subject matter experts and training function across the organization. * Build and maintain strong working relationships with department heads and team leads to stay current on evolving processes, policies, and skill requirements. * Facilitate SME review cycles to ensure all training content is accurate, current, and reflects best practices. * Partner with HR and Operations to integrate training into onboarding, performance management, and development initiatives. Program Management & Delivery: * Oversee end to end training program delivery, including scheduling, logistics, and participant tracking. * Manage and optimize the organization's learning management system (LMS) to ensure accessibility, progress tracking, and reporting. * Lead onboarding training programs in coordination with HR and departmental leaders. * Oversee all training administration, including assigning the appropriate curriculum to each employee starting on day one of employment and scheduling subsequent training dates based on business needs and client requirements. * Identify training gaps through data analysis and stakeholder feedback, and develop targeted learning interventions. Documentation & Reporting: * Maintain accurate records of training completion, certifications, and development milestones. * Build dashboards and reports to track training KPIs and communicate progress to leadership. * Ensure training documentation is organized, accessible, and audit-ready. What You Bring Required: * 5+ years of experience in training, instructional design, or learning & development. * Demonstrated ability to collaborate with SMEs across diverse disciplines to develop training content * Experience developing training materials for large, multi-functional workforces. * Strong instructional writing skills with an eye for clarity and consistency. * Proficiency with LMS platforms and training development tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captive, or similar) * Excellent project management and organizational skills - able to manage multiple content work streams simultaneously. Leadership Profile: * Collaborative and relationship driven - able to earn trust and draw knowledge from experts who may not be natural teachers. * Strong communicator with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear, leaner-friendly content. * Detail oriented with a genuine commitment to quality and consistency. * Comfortable working independently while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned. Preferred: * Experience in the security, public safety, or regulated services industry. * Familiarity with security licensing requirements and compliance training frameworks. * Background or interest in graphic design, video production, or multimedia content creation. * CPTD, ATD, or similar learning & development certification.
