Description

At Host, we don’t just provide student accommodation – we create thriving communities where students can feel happy, safe and supported throughout their university journey. Our mission? To be the best - and that starts with hiring brilliant people like you!
We are on the lookout for a brand new Training Manager to join our Central Operations Team. This is a hybrid role with flexibility for home working and regular travel as required.
This is a full time position of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 09:00am and 17:30pm. The role offers a competitive salary plus car allowance, reflective of experience and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

As our Training Manager, you’ll take the lead on designing and delivering training that brings our values to life and drives service excellence across Host. From new starter inductions to leadership development, your work will have a direct impact on how our teams show up for our residents – and for each other.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across departments, including property teams, central support and our leadership team, to build capability, embed standards and champion a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll also support key operational projects, including new site mobilisations and change initiatives. Your role will include:

  • Designing and delivering engaging training programmes that support operational excellence.
  • Leading our company-wide induction process, helping new starters hit the ground running.
  • Overseeing core compliance training (e.g. ANUK, H&S, GDPR, Mental Health Awareness).
  • Supporting leadership development through workshops, coaching, and structured pathways.
  • Contributing to key mobilisation and change projects – ensuring our teams are trained and ready.
  • Carrying out audits and using insights to shape future training needs.
  • Championing a learning culture across the business, encouraging curiosity and confidence.
  • Tracking training delivery and outcomes to drive improvement and share success stories.
