Description The Training Manager & Instructional Designer at Family Entertainment Group (FEG) leads the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of modern learning programs for both corporate and frontline field teams. This role designs and delivers training that enhances operational performance, supports leadership development, and equips employees with the necessary tools to succeed. The ideal candidate brings a blend of instructional design expertise, facilitation skills, and fluency in technology and Generative AI to create scalable and engaging learning experiences. This leader is responsible for building learning pathways, certifications, and platforms such as a 'Tech University' and a digital video library to drive learning culture and performance excellence. Key Responsibilities Training Strategy & Program Design • Design and implement scalable, role-based learning programs for field and corporate audiences • Create and manage certification programs and structured learning paths for key roles, including GMs, Tech Managers, and Support Staff • Develop and execute training plans that support onboarding, role progression, and leadership development • Apply instructional design principles to build interactive, learner-centered content for in-person and virtual delivery Facilitation, Delivery & Leadership Development • Facilitate or coordinate high-impact training sessions, leadership workshops, and change management initiatives • Train-the-trainer program oversight, preparing internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to serve as adjunct trainers • Drive consistency in training delivery through standards, toolkits, and facilitator guides • Support ongoing leadership development through live and digital learning solutions Modern Learning Tools, AI & Digital Enablement • Leverage Generative AI tools to streamline content creation, enhance interactivity, and personalize learner experiences • Create a YouTube-style video training library, including microlearning and just-in-time instructional content • Introduce gamification elements such as leaderboards, digital badges, and progress tracking to boost engagement • Evaluate, recommend, and manage modern learning platforms and mobile-accessible tools Tech University & Adjunct Faculty Model • Launch and manage 'Tech University'—a structured curriculum for technical roles, delivered by high-performing field experts • Recruit, certify, and support adjunct trainers to deliver practical, field-relevant training • Develop and maintain curriculum maps, evaluation tools, and certification benchmarks • Track program participation, certification completion, and learning effectiveness across locations Measurement, Feedback & Continuous Improvement • Establish KPIs and feedback mechanisms to evaluate training impact on performance, retention, and engagement • Continuously assess and iterate training content, delivery methods, and user experience • Collaborate with Operations, HRBPs, and GMs to ensure programs are aligned with business needs and drive real-world results • Stay current on training trends, learning science, and AI innovation in L&D Requirements Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in training, learning & development, or instructional design • Demonstrated ability to create scalable training programs using modern authoring tools and platforms • Strong facilitation skills across live, virtual, and hybrid environments • Experience developing certification programs and career development pathways • Comfort using Generative AI and video-based platforms to develop engaging learning content • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, HR, or related field • Learning & development certification (e.g., CPLP, ATD, Kirkpatrick) a plus • Experience in multi-site, hourly workforce environments such as retail, hospitality, or entertainment • Experience managing LMS platforms and familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and microlearning formats Core Competencies • Learning Innovation: Embraces digital learning, AI, and emerging tools to modernize training • Instructional Expertise: Designs learning experiences that are clear, engaging, and impactful • Facilitation Excellence: Leads learning sessions with clarity, energy, and credibility • Performance Focus: Aligns learning to operational goals, role success, and behavior change • Continuous Improvement: Seeks feedback, tracks outcomes, and evolves programs to stay relevant
