OVERVIEW

The Nevada Secretary of State’s Elections Division is seeking a Training Manager to lead the development and delivery of training for Nevada’s new Voter Registration and Election Management System (VREMS). This role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on training implementation. The successful candidate will coordinate with counties, train system users, and ensure an engaging, consistent learning experience statewide.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to deliver effective training services in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder communication, including with solution vendors and executive sponsors.
  • Willingness to build deep subject matter expertise in voter registration and election management systems.
  • Ability to conduct engaging virtual learning sessions via Microsoft Teams.
  • Availability to travel statewide for in-person training sessions.
  • Capable of following instructions, managing schedules, and aligning with project milestones.
  • Commitment to delivering optimal learning experiences for users at all levels of technical ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service and foster collaborative working relationships.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and meet tight project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with applying modern training standards and instructional practices.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Zendesk.
  • Proficiency in simulation software development.
  • Background in content development and instructional design.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint administration.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary education required.
  • At least four (4) years of experience developing and delivering systems or software training programs.
  • Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) or equivalent certification preferred.

    Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
