QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in residency program outreach or physician recruitment within a healthcare system, hospital, medical group, or healthcare management environment.
  • Direct experience recruiting physicians required; psychiatry recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with residents and fellows while adhering to program-specific guidelines and regulations.
  • Proficient in using applicant tracking systems, lead reporting tools, project management platforms, and event coordination systems.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive and strategic in sourcing and outreach approaches.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Able to travel up to 50%, including some nights and weekends for live events.

The Training Outreach Program Specialist is responsible for building and sustaining strong relationships with psychiatry residency and fellowship programs to develop a long-term, high-quality pipeline of psychiatrist candidates for Mindpath Health. This role collaborates with clinical recruiting leadership, senior recruiters, and cross-functional teams to engage residents and fellows through educational programming and personalized outreach. This position plays a critical role in helping the organization maintain visibility and credibility within academic institutions and among emerging psychiatry professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain strong connections with psychiatry residency and fellowship programs across targeted regions.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for residency and fellowship program leadership, faculty, and residents/fellows, fostering long-term engagement and educational partnerships.
  • Coordinate and deliver learning-focused engagements (e.g., didactic sessions, educational dinners, happy hour connects, and virtual learning series) to support brand awareness and career readiness for residents/fellow audiences.
  • Ensure each active residency program relationship includes 1–3 hosted events per academic year to maintain consistent engagement and candidate pipeline flow.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with program partners and individual residents/fellows to share educational content and develop referral relationships.
  • Identify and refer qualified psychiatrists expressing strong interest in Mindpath Health roles to senior recruiters for follow-up by region.
  • Collaborate closely with senior recruiters to ensure timely follow-up, ongoing engagement, and candidate progression for all referred leads.
  • Maintain accurate lead tracking and activity documentation in the organization’s applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Generate monthly reports that capture engagement efforts, lead development, program outreach, and progress toward pipeline goals.
  • Attend or help coordinate residency and fellowship recruitment events (live and virtual), including company-sponsored events, as needed.
