THE POSITION

We are seeking a dedicated Training & Safety Specialist to oversee employee training programs and workplace health and safety initiatives in our manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for developing training programs, tracking training compliance through a structure matrix, and ensuring all team members receive the necessary training, certifications, and retraining as required. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining an effective training framework along with ensuring compliance, and adherence to provincial and federal health and safety regulations.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU REQUIRE

  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a training or health & safety role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to develop engaging training materials and deliver effective training sessions.
  • Experience in developing and using training matrix and maintain compliance records.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR an asset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
