JOB DESCRIPTION

Allied Universal® is hiring a Training Specialist. The Training Supervisor is responsible for the training, professional operation, administration, profitability, and quality assurance of uniformed services for a high profile client site.

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Current driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
  • Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable training/supervisory experience in a security-related Industry
  • Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Compile, sort, and interpret data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • College coursework in Education, Business, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Security Management or related field
  • Prior experience in the fire service, security Industry, law enforcement and/or military
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certified
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified
  • Training management experience
  • Project management experience
Responsibilities
  • Oversee that all aspects of the security function on-site are performed In a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training all Allied Universal®. personnel assigned to their site)
  • Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met
  • Make recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel
  • Instruct approved security officer training upon being assigned to the site
  • Record and update all training records to ensure compliance with requirements outlined in the contract and assigned from contract leadership
  • Monitor security officer compliance to ensure all officers are up to date and compliant
  • Conduct post inspections to ensure officers are following assigned Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Oversee implementation of changes in policies, post orders, and projects
  • Oversee on the job training activities
  • Maintain overtime to a minimal or preset requirement
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to their shift
  • Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., onboarding, payroll, review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders)
  • Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under their direct supervision
  • Respond to client requests
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
  • Provide direction and instruction to security professionals in regard to the performance of their duties
  • Disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel
  • Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management
  • Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
  • Make recommendations concerning disciplinary action/commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel
