MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/WORK EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 3 years of experience in healthcare or customer service industry.
  • Experience working with Cerner, STAR or other healthcare based Electronic Medical Record systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation skills, and telephone manner. Must be highly flexible, adaptable, enthusiastic, have a proactive approach, work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a team

environment.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual English / Spanish.
  • Experience and expertise in areas of scheduling, financial clearance (knowledge of major insurance plans and types of coverage provided, including government health programs), pre-registration or relevant

healthcare training experience preferred. Knowledge or experience working in healthcare settings and processes.

  • Experience in training or instructional design.
  • Must be comfortable with computers and medical terminology.

If needed, this position will need to travel to the various CHLA clinics (including offsite) to provide appropriate training and coverage as a PSR I/PSR II.
Hours may vary depending on assignments/training/clinic needs.
Education/Licensure/Certification: Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, organizational development, health administration, or related field; or High School Diploma/GED plus 4 additional years of related work experience.

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
