POSITION OVERVIEW

The Training Specialist II will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering comprehensive training programs in support of the Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC). This role focuses on designing instructional programs, conducting training sessions, and ensuring alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) policies, standards, and procedures. The Training Specialist II will also assess training effectiveness, integrate adult learning principles, and support JTNC workforce development initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Instructional Systems Design, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in developing and delivering technical training programs.
• Knowledge of DoD training and workforce development principles, policies, and procedures.
• Experience with instructional systems design, adult learning methodologies, and evaluation of training effectiveness.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to deliver technical material to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with training technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), multimedia tools, and virtual learning environments.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience delivering training in support of Software Defined Radios (SDRs) and Wireless Communications Products (WCP).
• Familiarity with JTNC mission areas, including waveform management, testing, and evaluation.
• Experience supporting Program of Instruction (POI) accreditation processes.
• Ability to work in classified environments and obtain/maintain a security clearance as required.

• Plan, develop, and validate Programs of Instruction (POIs) related to waveform management, standardization, and lifecycle support.
• Conduct formal training sessions both in-person and virtually using approved DoD platforms and methodologies.
• Develop training materials, including lesson plans, course guides, and multimedia content, aligned with JTNC requirements.
• Integrate current adult learning strategies and instructional systems design methods into course delivery.
• Maintain and assess historical course data to evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Provide operational and administrative support for course accreditation and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training content reflects current JTNC mission needs.
• Support additional training events, workshops, and conferences as directed.
