BAE Systems Maritime Solutions is seeking to hire Training Admin Coordinator Intern at our San Diego, CA facility. Internships and Co-ops may be shortened or extended at the discretion of the company. Relocation assistance will NOT be offered and housing is not provided. As a member of the Training Team, you’ll join a collaborative group of professionals dedicated to supporting workforce development through high-quality, well-coordinated training experiences. This role is essential to the smooth execution of new hire onboarding, training events and programs, and involves scheduling, recordkeeping, communication, and day-of-session logistics. The Training Admin will assist the training and development team in planning, organizing, and executing training programs. This role is designed to provide practical experience in managing training logistics and supporting the administrative needs of the training department. The new additional member will gain exposure to a variety of training processes and tools, while developing skills in coordination, communication, and data management. As a Training Admin Coordinator Intern you will assist with: Training Coordination: Organize and schedule training sessions, ensuring all logistical needs are met, including collaboration with the BAE communications team for necessary broad communications. Material Management: Develop and distribute training and onboarding materials, assist in setting up classes, and manage the production of training cards. Support staging for classes and assist with instruction as needed. Event Management: Support the setup of both BAE and customer training events, and provide coordination during large events, including managing lunch, breaks, and materials. Participant Engagement: Communicate with participants to provide information and answer queries. Collect feedback post-training and assist in data analysis for future improvements. Record keeping and Compliance Management: Update and manage training databases and records, ensure compliance tracking, and maintain the "training drive" and other storage systems. Keep the training center lobby updated with current information. Administrative and Reporting Support: Scan, file, and record completed training records. Handle onboarding tasks and aid in generating reports on training activities and outcomes. Project Participation: Engage in additional projects or tasks as needed by the training department. Technology Utilization: Ensure proficiency in using training software and platforms for efficient delivery and management of sessions. Continuous Improvement: Identify and suggest opportunities for improving training processes and resources. Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure cohesive and effective training delivery. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Currently enrolled in a degree program Business Admin, Organizational Development, Communications, Human Resources, or related majors,(Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree) Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (M365, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Excellent proactive written and verbal communication skills and willingness to collaborate cross-functionally Excellent presentation and facilitation skills Must maintain a current Driver’s License with a good driving record. Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Occasional travel (up to 10%) between company locations may be required. May require exposure to industrial environments and use of personal protective equipment. May involve light lifting of training materials or supplies. Must be comfortable managing logistics and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus Experience in safety, manufacturing, or corporate training environments. Familiarity with e-learning tools or virtual delivery platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, WebEx). Prior experience working with facilitators, vendors, or external training providers Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $51889 - $70033 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
