Design, develop, produce, package, and publish (beginning to end) instructional curriculum and materials, for instructor-led training. Develop engaging interactive web-based documentation and training through the creation of top quality writing, interactive activities, and other media. Review existing training materials and bring materials into conformity with a sound Instructional System Design (ISD) structure. These curriculum and training programs are to facilitate the learning and retention of knowledge by our multi-cultural and multi-generational workforce. Support performance development, increase participants’ skills, productivity and quality of work, and assist the achievement of specific strategic business goals and operational objectives.
Advanced in Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline. Excellent writing skills. Strong instructional design and storyboarding capabilities. Advanced in Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Access). Experience working with voice-over. Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology. Excellent knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models. Lesson and curriculum planning skills. Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge. Solid knowledge of course development software. Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard. Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts Oil & Gas industry exposure. Understanding of oilfield processes, terminology and business practices. Bachelors or Masters degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology or similar. 1-3 years of professional experience as an instructional designer
Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and team members to develop and improve technical documentation and training materials. Create, update and revise technical training content (slide ware, simple video, branched logic simulations, and audio voice over), script and storyboard demos and produce eLearning content. Be adaptable to product changes which may require work and rework with tremendous focus, good attention to details, good analysis skills, self-starter, and high tolerance for non-structure/ambiguity. Need to be adaptable to demanding work hours and be flexible during last minute requirements. Develop strong skill building role-play training using characters and creating very interactive branched scenarios. Perform research and analysis of new applications and systems/upgrades. Develop process workflow mapping to accurately identify process steps, decisions and tasks. Act as project manager for complex documentation projects involving multiple deliverables. Create project plan, provide weekly status and escalate issues. Research, develop, organize, and package training manuals, multimedia, videos and other educational materials. Create strategic, interactive curriculum that meets the stated objectives. Write pre and post assessments that tie into curriculum objectives. Manage and troubleshoot curriculum and assessments within Learning Management System.
