Description

As a Training Specialist at Spinato’s, you will play a pivotal role in fulfilling our mission: We exist to enhance the lives of others. You will help create a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive environment by developing impactful training tools, delivering engaging content, and maintaining the systems that support team member development.
Your efforts will directly influence team member success, foster a culture of continuous learning, and ensure our people feel valued, respected, and equipped to deliver exceptional service.
This role combines technical training skills, LMS administration, and a deep understanding of restaurant operations, helping ensure every team member is trained, supported, and ready to thrive.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing LMS platforms and e-authoring tools
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Ability to analyze training and performance data
  • Skilled at presenting and facilitating training for store-level employees
  • Passion for food service, hospitality, and team development
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in training data analysis and reporting tools
  • Experience with PowerBi and/or Excel Power Query
  • Project Management experience or certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Psychology, Social Sciences, Hospitality, or a related field
  • OR
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in learning and development will be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 2 years in learning and development, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry
  • Experience working in the food service or customer-facing environments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This role operates primarily in a professional office setting
  • May require standing or sitting for extended periods
  • Safety equipment must be worn when visiting restaurant locations for training

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain training content in our Learning Management System
  • Collaborate with restaurant operations and the training team to assess and identify training needs
  • Perform needs assessments and analyze performance data to guide training strategy
  • Create and manage training content with e-authoring software (e.g, Articulate, Rise 360)
  • Design learning experiences aligned with adult learning principles
  • Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training sessions
  • Support and lead small projects; contribute to company-wide initiatives
  • Attend cross-functional and departmental meetings as required
