The Training Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and conducting training programs for our corporate and regional property portfolios throughout our company. We are looking for at least two years of prior experience. Duties include initial training analysis all the way to final delivery and ongoing evaluation. Training programs include new hire orientation, compliance, management training, soft skills development and so much more. This position requires excellent analytical, writing and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must have a superior ability to manage conflicting priorities and adjust priorities on a daily basis with great attention to detail. This position reports directly to the Director of Training and Development. At least 50% of travel may be required. Duties: Evaluate, measure and provide direction to define and document business needs for all training initiatives. Provide needs assessment to distinguish between training and non-training issues as needed. Design and present training programs that meet the essential and required job requirements. Design and present customized training materials and support documents requested by Director of Training. Measure and follow-up of all practices trained and demonstrate results to management, along with recommended changes to standards outlined in the TM Associates’ manuals. Ensure Management teams are aware of training successes and deficiencies. Oversee on-the-job training and orientation curriculum. Travel to specified regions to assist with training needs as directed. Provide training resources for all new and transition associates as needed. Audit the Learning Management System (LMS) records to ensure training compliance. Acts as liaison within the Corporate Departments to ensure opportunities for operational improvement are developed, trained, and implemented. Maintain effective business practices in all areas of responsibility; recommend enhancements to ensure efficient and effective investments in our people, as well as technology, to ensure successful outcomes. Maintain proficiencies in all areas of responsibility to adequately respond to support requests and make recommendations as needed. Abide by all company policies and procedures as well as community policies applicable to each particular property. Any other duties or responsibilities as may be assigned by the company from time to time. Requirements Requirements: Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting Proven ability to master the full training cycle Adequate knowledge of learning management software Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques Familiarity with talent management and succession planning Sound decision making and organizational skills Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences Proficiency in MS Office and Yardi software (preferred) BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field (preferred)
