Description The Training Specialist is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, managing, conducting and tracking assigned training and education in support of organizational goals. This position collaborates with supervisors, department managers, project leaders, other trainers, and subject matter experts to ensure that our employees are provided with the training and support needed to perform their jobs successfully. This position is responsible for analyzing employee needs for education and designing and delivering programs to meet their needs. The Training Specialist provides mentorship to other employees, and demonstrates a passion for service excellence. This position is required to travel to all branch/department locations to conduct onsite training. This is a non-exempt position. Use TMA (The Member Advantage™) process to meet member needs and reach assigned goals by referring WCU products and services. Use AID,Inc principles to serve our internal and external members and meet CU goals. Assists the Head of Training to create the annual strategic training plan. Design and present promotion and project training, as well as other regular training curriculums. Confers with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training. Maintain a thorough understanding and adherence to credit union regulations, policies, procedures, guidelines and make sure that all disclosures are posted correctly in the branch and provided to the member. Serves as a reference person on all products, services and procedures related to member service. Stays informed and proficient in relevant skills and expectations required of staff to meet performance standards and requirements, including system, process, product and regulatory changes. Promotes the use of our e-learning system. Measures and evaluates its use and effectiveness. Conducts train the trainer sessions which prepare trainers, managers, learning partners and subject matter experts to deliver classroom and virtual training sessions and on-the-job training which successfully meets learning objectives. Maintains familiarity with all established training programs delivered by the CU, and steps in as relief trainer as needed. Continually evaluates, updates, and improves training to ensure it is accurate and relevant. Maintains and updates education tracking program for individual employees and assists in developing career paths for all positions. Conducts training sessions, in all locations, for employee orientation and on-boarding; procedures, products and services; use of the computer system and telephone system; compliance; supervisor training; job enrichment; refresher training; effective member service skills; and skills necessary for employees to achieve outstanding performance levels. Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent. At least two years financial institution experience. At least two years of experience to include core system and lending platform. At least two years training experience.
