Job Description Role purpose Contribute to activities focusing on phytopathology research: Perform a wide range of tasks in labs, growth rooms, and greenhouses for the success of our trials and tests. Such as collecting data, preparing trials, pathogen maintenance, inoculum preparation, inoculation, phenotyping of routine tests. Perform plant maintenance related tasks in controlled environments. Support Trait Assessment Research Associates and Scientists in: Delivering data for new variety development in fruities and, Contributing to the optimization and development of new protocols for Trait Assessment portfolio. Operate in modern infrastructure according to best biosafety and HSE practices. Qualifications Accountabilities Execute phytopathology assays, following established protocols and guidance from Research Associates or Scientists. Manage lab consumables and inventory efficiently, ensuring optimal stock levels and timely replenishment. Maintain strict compliance with biosafety and HSE regulations at all times. Utilize computational skills to capture data using MS Word, Excel, and other relevant software. Data entry, reporting and documentation according to internal standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal operation of the Trait Assessment department. Additional Information Hands-on experience in plant pathology, conducting Pathogen Resistance Testing. Experience in controlled conditions, lab and greenhouse. Bachelor's degree or technical course in the field of agronomy, biology or any related field. Knowledge of plant biology and phytopathology. Demonstrated ability to follow technical written protocols. Ability to learn new processes and techniques fast and effectively upon proper training or via self-learning, when appropriate. Familiarity with MS (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and datasheet (Smartsheet). Fluent communication (Verbal and Written) in Spanish and English.
