ABOUT THE ROLE
The Transaction Liability team here at CFC is made up of experienced TL Underwriters, M&A Lawyers, Tax Accountants, Consultants and ex-Bankers.
As an Underwriting Assistant you’ll be providing dedicated support to international underwriters across our teams by:
- Providing excellent administrative support primarily to the transaction liability team and other underwriting teams, as required, to ensure CFC can adhere to target turnaround times for our brokers and insureds;
- Managing the underwriting central inboxes and logging new and renewal submissions on CFC’s internal underwriting system;
- Preparing various activity reports and spreadsheets as directed;
- Administering the department diary, including chasing outstanding items such as subjectivities and assisting with invoicing and setting up of new clients;
- Answering incoming calls and fielding queries as appropriate;
- Reviewing and amending transaction documents including non-disclosure and hold harmless letters;
- Working with the existing support functions in CFC to ensure the timely progression of transactions from initial submission to policy binding (including the administrative aspects of this process); and
- General ad-hoc administrative duties as required.
THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL ROLE SO WE DON’T NEED YOU TO HAVE ANY INSURANCE EXPERIENCE.
Commercial awareness and understanding of mergers and acquisitions is preferable and a background in law, business, finance or otherwise related study field would be preferred.
As a minimum, we are looking for individuals with:
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines and turnaround times;
- Excellent level of attention to detail including accurate written and numeracy skills;
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications - Outlook, Word and particularly Excel;
- Working proficiency in Spanish, French and/or Italian
