This is a key supervisory position within the Trust’s central finance team, and you will be expected to bring a forward-thinking approach to the team leadership of the Transactional Finance function. This position will support the central and school finance teams to ensure the Trust works effectively towards the delivery of its vision, and strategic goals.
The successful candidate will be a highly skilled, experienced Finance professional. You will be expected to have a vision for a high performing, efficient and effective finance team with quality service at the heart of day to day activities. This position would suit someone experienced in working in an educational setting, however educational experience is not essential. We seek a knowledgeable, highly adaptive forward-thinking individual with an excellent understanding of high-level customer service and finance knowledge. You will be an effective team leader who can think strategically and lead from the front, contributing to the day-to-day support provided to staff and pupils. The successful applicant should be a car driver as the role will occasionally require travel between sites.

To update the organisational finance induction training material, for processes such as expense claims and purchasing cards, to ensure that they reflect current procedures
To draft new training material needed for the evolving technologies, such as invoice capture / invoice workflow approval system
Gift and Hospitality register management
Other duties as appropriate
