A leading provider of diagnostic imaging services, Insight Medical Imaging connects in a meaningful way with our patients, physicians, and employees.  With over 650 employees and 17 locations, Insight provides services in Edmonton and surrounding regions, as well as in Fort McMurray.   Insight is currently seeking a Transcriptionist to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a full time, remote position, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm. Insight offers: * Paid Vacation and Flex Days * RRSP Matching * Educational Allowance * Employer Paid Benefits * Healthcare Spending Account  Duties and Responsibilities: * Provide overall medical transcription support to the department, accurately transcribing medical dictations. * Organize and prioritize assigned work and schedule time to accommodate work demands.   * Communicate with radiologists and departments. * Provide peer support.   * Communicate in a positive and cooperative manner.   * Handle difficult situations in a sensitive and proactive manner.   Note: the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the incumbent of this job; they are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and activities required of this position. Skills: * Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. * Exceptional grammar, syntax, editing and punctuation skills.    * Attention to detail, concern for accuracy and critical thinking. * Superior listening skills, focus and concentration. * General knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures, billing codes, and desktop applications (e.g. Word, Windows).   * Keyboarding proficiency, ability to type 75+ words per minute. * Ability to complete large volumes of work under deadlines.    * Commitment to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards. Qualifications: * Grade 12 diploma required.    * Successful completion of a recognized program in Medical Transcription required.    * 1 to 2 years' recent experience and knowledge of diagnostic imaging processes preferred.     * Reliable at-home internet connection.
