Description

Summary: Drives an assigned company vehicle primarily to deliver store to store transfers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities to include but not limited to: * Familiar with computer terminal * Familiar with store and yard merchandise/materials * Completes proper paperwork * Accurately pick orders * Stages orders in a neat and orderly fashion * Accurately picks orders * Participates in 100% load check on all deliveries. * Verifies that items have been billed out correctly prior to leaving the store * Properly loads and handles merchandise to avoid any damages * Delivers product to assigned stores. * Completes tasks in a timely manner * Requires little direction * Assists with the ACE order * Assists with merchandise stocking * Follow all State and Federal Safety Laws of safe driving. * Unloads and verifies product to store location * Safe and careful handling on all product and equipment thru the whole process. * Represents Williams Lumber in a professional and courteous manner while on the road and at store sites. * Reports any problems immediately to store manager. This includes damage, shortage, ect. * Follows proper procedures in reporting any vehicle accident or near miss. These must be immediately reported to supervisor. * Follows all safety procedures. * Help with unloading transfer deliveries. * Inspects truck equipment and supplies. * Reports any mechanical problems of the vehicle immediately to supervisor. * Readily complies with all DOT required testing and training regulations. * Displays teamwork and effort in performance of all duties. * Participates in all required training assignments. * Completes any daily vehicle maintenance logs as needed * Other duties may be assigned. Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver license required to be maintained throughout position assignment of Driver. Responsibilities
