Description Transfer Station Manager Amwaste is seeking a dedicated and experienced Transfer Station Manager to lead the daily operations of multiple Transfer Stations across Georgia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee a critical component of waste management, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader committed to delivering high standards of performance while managing people, processes, and resources effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee daily operations of multiple Transfer Stations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies - Manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations - Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness - Maintain accurate records of operations, safety incidents, and regulatory compliance - Coordinate with regulatory agencies and ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations - Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource utilization - Promote a safety-first culture and conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions - Address operational issues promptly and develop solutions to prevent recurrence - Foster positive relationships with community stakeholders and clients Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience in waste management, logistics, or operations management, preferably in a Transfer Station environment - Strong leadership and team management skills - Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities - Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and compliance requirements - Ability to analyze operational data and implement process improvements - Effective communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities - Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications preferred At Amwaste, we value a safety-conscious, environmentally responsible, and collaborative work culture. Minimum of 4 years of leadership or operations management experience. Preferred: Landfill or post-collection operations experience. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
