Unite is actively shaping the next stage of development, and with it, the demands on scalability, efficiency, and customer centricity of our operational processes are increasing. To meet these demands, we are launching a targeted transformation initiative in the area of Transaction Services.

As Transformation Lead (m/f/d), you will shape one of Unite's core transformation initiatives: Transaction Services (Fulfillment, Settlement, Accounting & Risk) will be positioned to be AI-first, customer-centric, and scalable for the next growth phase. That's your job

  • Managing the initiative: You will take responsibility for the "AI-first Operational Excellence" initiative. You will define goals, structure, and milestones, and ensure that diagnosis, planning, and implementation seamlessly integrate.
  • Building and empowering a team: You will assemble an interdisciplinary transformation team, provide technical leadership, and be responsible for developing the necessary AI, process, and continuous improvement skills. Your team will conduct process analyses, data evaluations, walkthroughs, and interview series. You will set the framework, prioritize tasks, derive recommendations for roles, collaboration, and structure, and ensure quality and effectiveness.
  • Creating transparency and use cases: You create a fact-based picture of the status quo and, together with AI, engineering, architecture and operations teams, identify concrete use cases for automation, knowledge access, exception handling and workflow optimization.
  • Managing delivery and making impact visible: You establish performance and control routines, define relevant SLAs, OLAs and cost-to-serve metrics, and ensure that quick wins are implemented early and their impact is made visible.
  • Being effective at the top level: You prepare decisions for the Executive Board and the SVP Platform, manage relevant stakeholders from Markets, CX, Product, Finance, People & Organisation and Platform, and create alignment even with competing interests and priorities.

This is what you bring with you

  • Personality & Attitude: You are curious about AI and new technologies, work based on hypotheses and data, and remain proactive even in the face of uncertainty, resistance, and a fast pace. You combine analytical acumen with pragmatism and a cooperative, respectful leadership style.
  • Academic background: You have a university degree in economics or natural sciences or a comparable field of study.
  • Transformation & Operational Excellence: You bring several years of experience in service-intensive areas such as customer service, transaction services, or operations, combined with demonstrable responsibility for transformation and operational excellence projects. Experience from a management consultancy or internal transformation unit is a plus.
  • Process and performance management: You have sound knowledge of end-to-end process analysis, Lean/Continuous Improvement, KPI systems, service levels, and capacity and quality control – ideally including cost-to-serve thinking.
  • Digitalization & Automation: You are confident in your ability to navigate the environment of process digitalization, workflow automation and AI-supported process improvement, and you can systematically assess potential and translate it into robust solutions together with technology teams.
  • Project and leadership experience: You have been responsible for cross-functional programs with demanding stakeholders from diagnosis to implementation and know how to lead teams and professional communities in complex projects.
  • Operational credibility & communication: You are familiar with working under real service, resource, and results demands. You condense complex issues into clear decision-making criteria, confidently moderate controversial discussions, and communicate effectively with all audiences, from the operational team to the executive board, in both German and English.
