Description
About the position
This transformation is orchestrated within the Strategy & Transformation Office, reporting directly to the CEO. As a Transformation Manager, you will become part of the strategy implementation team of one of the world's largest corporate IT shared service providers, helping to drive our transformation agenda from strategy to measurable impact. A key aspect of your role is the end-to-end implementation of transformation initiatives – typically one or more simultaneously, with the scope and number changing as the transformation progresses. You will drive implementation, engage stakeholders from all functions, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure that the promised value is delivered. Depending on the role, you will work directly within the Transformation Office or be part of a specialist function, reporting functionally to the Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer (CSTO).
What you do
- You are responsible for the end-to-end implementation and results of one or more initiatives within Allianz Technology's transformation portfolio – from initiation to stabilization, on time, within budget and with measurable benefits.
- You translate the strategy into structured mandates, roadmaps and implementation plans, defining the scope, milestones, dependencies and methodology.
- You drive implementation across all workstreams and guide workstream leaders, implementation teams, and stakeholders toward a common commitment.
- You will build and lead the governance for your area of responsibility (steering committees with the respective sponsor, reviews, working sessions), create decision proposals and actively drive the escalation and resolution of issues and risks.
- You define and monitor KPIs and OKRs as well as the plans for value realization and report progress, results and value contribution to senior management and the EMT.
- You manage risks, issues and dependencies within individual projects and across the entire transformation portfolio, identify them early and develop appropriate countermeasures; in doing so, you ensure audit-proof documentation.
- You coordinate closely with key stakeholders to manage dependencies across workstreams, their timing, and consistency with the target architecture.
- You plan and manage change management, communication, and training for your area of responsibility.
- You manage the finances and resources within your area of responsibility and ensure transparency regarding expenditures, forecasts, and value contribution – as a contribution to the portfolio's value target.
- You promote continuous improvement and the exchange of lessons learned in order to further develop transformation methods and tools.
- Beyond your assigned initiatives, you will contribute to the overall strategy implementation of the Transformation Office – for example, to portfolio-wide analyses, methodology, and other topics that arise during the course of the transformation.
What you bring
- University degree or equivalent professional experience in business administration, business informatics, engineering, IT management, computer science or a related field.
- More than 5 years of experience in leading complex transformation or large-scale change initiatives in a technology or operational environment; experience in consulting, financial services or a multinational organization is an advantage.
- Proven success in end-to-end implementation with hybrid methods (Agile and Waterfall), in governance design and value creation; certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP or SAFe are advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you convince senior-level executives and create coordination across functional boundaries.
- Solid business and analytical skills to create business cases, track value contribution and make data-driven decisions; fluent English (German is an advantage).
- Experience in change management and adoption planning (e.g. PROSCI/ADKAR) including crisis and escalation management, as well as familiarity with European regulatory requirements.
- Self-initiative and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to work.
- Practical knowledge of AI technologies and their application, as well as a strong interest in how AI is changing IT implementation and economics.
What we offer
- We offer a hybrid working model that recognizes the value of balancing in-person collaboration with remote work, including up to 25 days of work abroad per year.
- We believe in rewarding performance and our compensation and benefits package includes a bonus program, a company pension scheme, an employee stock ownership plan and various employee discounts (details vary by location).
- From career development and digital learning programs to international career mobility, we offer lifelong learning for our employees worldwide and an environment that fosters innovation, implementation and empowerment.
- Flexible working hours, health and welfare benefits (including health insurance and parental leave benefits) support the balance between family and career and help our employees return from career breaks with experiences that nothing else can teach.
