SUMMARY

Perform final assembly operations of electrical transformer according to prescribed standard methods and procedures. Connects coils to terminals and builds up supporting structure of power transformers, according to wiring and structural diagrams: Wraps insulation around coil and secures with adhesive tape. To assemble or modify components as per production schedule.

REQUIREMENTS/QUAILIFICATIONS

Minimum Grade 12 Education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be in good physical condition: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor.
Ability to effectively communicate in English both orally and in writing, and work in a team environment.
Ability to interpret read and understand blueprints, drawings, sketches, specifications, and bill of material including terms and abbreviations as required to complete work assignments.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Basic Knowledge of hand and power tool use
Ability to be certified as a FORK TRUCK OPERATOR and a CRANE OPERATOR.
Must be willing to work in other departments on a temporary basis as designated by the manager.
Strive for continuous improvement within the work center.
Previous manufacturing and/or assembly experience, is an asset.
