We know that working together is the only way we can achieve what is necessary for a healthier future.     About the Role Eastern Health is recruiting to the Enrolled Nurse Transition to Mental Health Program for 2026.   This program is progressive, responsive and innovative, incorporating both theoretical elements in addition to practical experience with allocated study days, learning packages and clinical assessments.  During the course, participants will be supported by experts within the clinical facility and the clinical education staff of the Learning and Teaching Directorate. We support and facilitate the development of a well prepared, high quality, safe nursing and midwifery workforce committed to improving health outcomes. Our Learning and Teaching team and clinical staff provide a supportive environment that encourages the development of clinical skills, reflective practice and a sense of professional identity and accountability. Two 6-Month rotations, possible areas are: Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Units (Box Hill and Maroondah) Older Adult Mental Health Acute Inpatient Unit (Burwood) Adolescent Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit (Box Hill) Co-located Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Detox (Box Hill)     About You  To be successful in this role you will possess: Current, condition-free, EN registration with AHPRA A minimum of 12 months’ experience working as an Enrolled Nurse Developed interpersonal skills A strong commitment to high quality care The ability to work as part of a diverse team Excellent communication and organisational skills Willingness to engage in clinical supervision and reflective practice   Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
