Valor3 Services is seeking a meticulous and culturally fluent Translation Specialist to support Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) by delivering high-quality written translations. This is a task-driven, part-time position contingent upon contract award, with variable hours and no guaranteed weekly minimum. Work is scheduled on an as-needed basis.
The role requires close adherence to DOE/NNSA security, quality, and confidentiality protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or higher in translation, linguistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in document translation, preferably in scientific or technical fields.
  • Fluency in English and one or more foreign languages (e.g., Russian, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and translation tools (e.g., SDL Trados, memoQ).
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DOE Q clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working on DOE or other government projects.
  • Familiarity with classified document handling.
  • Exposure to scientific/technical terminology.
