Start here. Grow here. We are seeking a Transmission & Distribution Senior High Voltage Primary Engineer to join our team in Romania. This opportunity is open to candidates based in Bucharest (hybrid working model: 50% from the office and 50% from home), as well as candidates located in other cities in Romania (fully remote). We also welcome applications from candidates based in other countries; in this case, relocation to Bucharest is required to follow the hybrid working model, and visa and relocation support may be provided for suitable candidates. Job Description Here is what you will do: Project Leadership: Lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design and execution of primary circuit projects. Coordinate with stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure project success. Design and Engineering: Oversee the development of primary circuit designs, including substation layouts, overhead lines, and underground cables. Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to optimize primary circuit designs for efficiency and reliability. System Analysis and Optimization: Perform power system studies, such as load flow analysis, fault analysis, and protection coordination studies, identify opportunities for system improvements and efficiency enhancements. Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in primary circuit design and engineering. Field Support and Troubleshooting: Provide on-site support during construction, commissioning, and maintenance activities in case is required. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, project reports, and status updates. Ensure accurate documentation of primary circuit designs, modifications, and as-built drawings. Qualifications Here’s what we’re looking for: Mandatory Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: 8+ years of experience in T&D primary circuit design and project management, with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Skills: Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Microstation). Strong understanding of primary circuit design principles, including substation design, overhead lines, and underground cables. Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and resource management. Experience with high-voltage primary circuit projects. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, AS). Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Nice to have: Professional Engineer license.
