Compensation (Hourly: Flat-Rate) $42.00 - $52.00 / hour Job Description We are looking for a GM-certified Transmission Technician to join our service team. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining transmissions in accordance with GM factory standards while ensuring top-quality service for our customers. Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair transmission concerns using GM-specific diagnostic equipment and procedures. Perform transmission rebuilds, replacements, and calibrations as required. Conduct quality checks and test drives to verify successful repairs. Complete routine vehicle inspections to identify additional service needs. Work closely with service advisors for clear communication on repair timelines, additional findings, and customer updates. Collaborate with the parts department to ensure proper and timely parts procurement. Document all work performed in compliance with GM and dealership standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines. Qualifications Must be GM Certified in Transmissions (required). 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician in a dealership environment. Proven hands-on experience with transmission diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass pre-employment screenings (background, drug test, and MVR). Preferred Qualifications: Previous Chevrolet dealership experience. Additional GM certifications beyond transmissions. ASE certifications.
