Responsibilities

Provides administrative support and customer service support to the Transplant department and program to facilitate quality patient care. Receives, greets, and provides appropriate directions for patients, families, visitors, physicians, ancillary personnel, and vendors in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner. Performs clerical and reception duties including answering multiple phone lines, taking messages, and triaging calls. Assists patients with scheduling tests and retrieves reports. Coordinates, retrieves, and communicates patient information including diagnostic and lab results to physicians, staff, and other departments. Prepares patients for clinic including rooming patient, taking vital signs and assisting with order requests. Prepares patient charts and maintains database for patient presentations. Assists nursing with UNOS form requirements.
