A new vacancy has arisen for a Network Coordinator/ Transport administrator within the Pallet Network Team, at our family run depot in Portsmouth.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pallet network’s and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent communication skills, possess a good telephone manner, provide an in-depth level of customer service and be proficient in problem solving, transport planning and working as a team.
You will be working in a busy transport office, working closing with other members of staff and customers. The main part of this role is dealing with the pallet networks and drivers.
2mv are part of two pallet networks – ‘TPN’ and ‘Hazchem’, although the company do full and part loads and international freight forwarding and storage solutions.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment, to prioritise tasks and be organised and methodical
· Experience in similar role / environment within a transport distribution company is a must
· Must be fully computer literate
· Administrative experience essential
· Good customer service skills and solutions orientated approach
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Must be able to work using own initiative and have a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude
· Own means of transport
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Provide an efficient, responsive and professional service when handling all incoming and outgoing calls with customers, depots and drivers.
Deal with queries and issues by email and telephone, quickly and thoroughly
Book jobs onto bespoke IT systems
Adhere to both company and statutory legislation and requirements to ensure the efficient running of the business
Coordinate deliveries and collections using the routing system and directly with drivers
