Title: Transport Administrator
Location: Unisurge International Limited, Farboud Innovation Park, Formula Drive, Newmarket, CB8 0BF
Unisurge is the UKs leading manufacturer of Custom Surgical Procedure Trays (CPT). Our activities include cleanroom assembly of kits, sterilisation of product using Ethylene Oxide gas, transport and distribution of our goods.

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE ESSENTIAL AND DESIRABLE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

  • Management experience of people, time and money
  • Previous experience working with telematics and tracking software
  • Desired knowledge and experience of all transport and driver regulations
  • Experience of working with third party driving agencies, ideally combined with some knowledge of agency workers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload to meet conflicting, frequently demanding, deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate MS PowerPoint, and Excel skills for data analysis and presentation in order to influence business cases e.g. pivot tables, graphs etc
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements

Desirable:

  • IOSH or NEBOSH

Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL BE:

  • Administrator of our team of drivers and distribution staff
  • Monitoring timesheets and reporting any issues
  • Scheduling and managing planned maintenance of fleet through agreed providers
  • Assist in route planning using E-proof of delivery software
  • Delivery input into external 3PL providers such as TNT and Fedex
  • Brief all drivers on policies and procedures
  • Co-Ordinate all delivery orders through our software system
  • Debrief all delivery drivers, collate all manifests and upload into Software
  • Ensure effective communication throughout the Company
  • Identify opportunities to further improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Contribute to the resolution of client queries and delivery disputes
  • To promote Company Standards in all situations
  • To deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed, and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the company
  • Polite customer service telephone manners

THE ROLE HAS THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Accountable to - Transport Manager
  • Responsible for all admin duties in goods out, stock assistance and delivery fleet
  • External - Maintains external contacts as necessary to fulfil 100% service levels
