We are looking for an experienced Transport Allocator to join our dedicated team at the Narangba Depot on the Northside of Brisbane. This role will see you support our existing freight operations to ensure top-tier service delivery for our customers.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scheduling & Coordination: Coordinate and schedule local and overnight express freight, ensuring the correct load mixtures, equipment, and drivers are assigned based on customer safety requirements and delivery timelines.
  • WHS/COR Compliance: Adhere to relevant WHS (Work Health & Safety) and COR (Chain of Responsibility) legislation, policies, and procedures, ensuring safety standards are met in your areas of responsibility.
  • Customer & Team Communication: Foster strong relationships with customers and team members through clear, effective communication. You will be the prime contact for drivers, resolving issues promptly and efficiently. (Company mobile phone provided, to be contactable at all times)
  • Paperwork Management: Collate and manage freight movement paperwork, ensuring invoicing is completed accurately and on time.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure the efficient allocation of company resources, adjusting schedules and operations as needed to meet client expectations.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a Scheduler/Transport Allocator in the transport industry, ideally with a focus on overnight express freight operations.
  • Knowledge of Legislation: A solid understanding of BFM (Basic Fatigue Management) and COR legislation, along with a working knowledge of logbook hours.
  • Problem Solving: The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a high level of organisation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a variety of personality types and teams.
  • Time Management: Strong time prioritisation skills, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Accreditation: Relevant Schedulers/BFM accreditation is essential, or you must be prepared to obtain it.
