Transport and Yard Coordinator-Long Marston

Location: Long Marston, Hertfordshire

Salary: £27,600 - £30,000 per annum

Hours: Full-time

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport & Yard Coordinator to join a busy and supportive recycling and logistics operation. This varied role combines administration, customer service, transport coordination, and operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and being involved in the day-to-day running of a successful business.

Working at the heart of the operation, you will be responsible for accurately recording vehicle movements, processing documentation, supporting transport activities, and ensuring the smooth running of site administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating the weighbridge system and recording inbound and outbound vehicle weights accurately.
  • Processing documentation, compliance records, and associated paperwork.
  • Supporting transport planning and vehicle scheduling activities.
  • Welcoming drivers, suppliers, and visitors to site.
  • Maintaining accurate records for invoicing, auditing, and compliance purposes.
  • Liaising with drivers, customers, and operational teams.
  • Monitoring site activity and reporting discrepancies where required.
  • General administration, reporting, and data entry.
  • Supporting the overall organisation and efficiency of the site.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Previous experience in administration, logistics, transport, customer service, or weighbridge operations would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided.
