JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transportation Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing logistics and ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation processes. This position requires a strong understanding of transportation management systems, supply chain dynamics, and effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems and AS400 is advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and clients.
  • Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations related to transportation is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain transportation management systems to optimise logistics operations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and clients to ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to FDA regulations.
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records of shipments and inventory.
  • Assist in lead generation and sales management activities, focusing on B2B sales opportunities.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to enhance service efficiency.
  • Utilise CRM software to track customer interactions and improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and resolve any logistical challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with EDI standards for electronic data interchange within the supply chain.
  • Monitor shipments and provide updates to clients regarding their orders.
