What You'll Be Doing

As Logistics Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate and manage daily logistics and delivery schedules.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with haulage providers and customers.
  • Attend daily capacity meetings and communicate any potential issues or delivery risks to the business.
  • Monitor all scheduled deliveries and proactively resolve any challenges.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring communication is timely, accurate, and professional.
  • Ensure all in-house logistics documentation is maintained, accurate, and presented in a standard format.
  • Produce detailed daily handover reports for the Logistics Manager.
  • Work closely with Sales, Production, Manufacturing, and Account Management teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Establish a close working relationship with the Day Shift Manufacturing Manager.
  • Notify Account Management teams of any booking, delivery, or scheduling issues at the earliest opportunity.
  • Maintain accurate reporting methods for logistics performance, dispatch activity, and associated costs.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining high levels of accuracy and service.

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
  • Strong PC and administrative skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good understanding of specifications and dimensions.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of UK locations and transport routes.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and short-notice schedule amendments.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
  • A reliable, dependable, and proactive approach to work.
