Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Transport Co-Ordinator to support the management of our driver workforce and ensure the safety and efficiency of the Woodstock fleet. This role requires an individual with a passion for logistics, strong organisational skills, and the ability to adapt to the dynamic demands of a busy transport operation. As a key member of our Transport Department, you will carry out essential administrative and operational tasks, including vehicle maintenance, compliance management, driving performance analysis, and route planning. Flexibility in working shifts and the ability to cover at short notice is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and optimise routes and workloads based on company and departmental needs.
  • Coordinate routes to ensure timely dispatch of driver crews in alignment with Paragon schedules.
  • Deliver, review, and ensure up-to-date driver training programs.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to improve driver performance, utilising telematics and other resources.
  • Conduct driver pre-briefs and de-briefs to maintain high standards and address improvement areas.
  • Support newly recruited drivers with induction plans and training completion.
  • Champion fleet cleanliness and enforce action plans to address failings.
  • Conduct weekly QC checks and planned gate checks to uphold safety standards.
  • Manage vehicle defect reporting, service/job sheet tracking, and legal compliance paperwork.
  • Address and manage driver and customer issues promptly.
  • Act as a relief driver when required to ensure seamless operations.
  • Support all other departmental functions as a key stakeholder.
