Qualifications

  • Possess extensive knowledge of transport regulations and maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Broad experience with earthworks, civil, pipeline & heavy transport equipment.
  • Previous experience in fleet management is preferable.

Responsibilities

ROLE:

The Transport Compliance Specialist supports the Chief Operating Officer and Operational Managers located in Fort St John, BC and Gibbons, AB in the day-to-day management of the fleet compliance to regulatory bodies, support fleet management improvement initiatives, maintenance form development, and telematic management. This position will also be working closely with project teams to coordinate and manage resource compliance requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, ensuring the company’s adherence to these regulations, and remaining current on the industry’s standards and new innovations, materials, tools, and processes
  • Support development of new equipment records requirements and software maintenance programs
  • Support fleet compliance as it relates to National Safety Code
  • CVIP, IFTA Certificate & Inspection management.
  • Support management of Drivers records, logs, safety records.
  • Schedule and monitor annual inspection and certification compliance for fleet, including but not limited to sandblasting equipment, picker trucks, fuel transport trucks, lifting devices, etc.
  • Track equipment, both internal and external. Perform audits when required to measure equipment compliance to best practices of maintenance and inspection records.
  • Maintain inventory identification, configuration & status for all equipment within database system
  • Follow and maintain Company standards in accordance with Quality, Health, Safety & Environment requirements.
  • Ensure good working relationships are maintained between the equipment divisions and project sites.
  • Promote and encourage a positive attitude to Health & Safety.
  • Identify training requirements where applicable.
