Responsibilities

As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:

  • Proactively optimise transport operations for efficiency without impacting service
  • Integrate and manage new cross-dock clients and the vehicle fleet, including offsite parking
  • Effectively manage the Transport department through KPI measures
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination across all areas of transport operations
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the transport team, ensuring they are fully trained
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory legislation, including Health & Safety and transport regulations
  • Manage 3rd party hauliers for national journeys
  • Develop and implement service standard agreements with customers
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage projects to successful delivery
  • Maintain the Company’s Operator Licence and manage associated risks
  • Mentor and coach staff on the Unipart training and development program
