Your responsibilities


As a Transport Coordinator – Defence Support (m/f/d), you will be responsible for coordinating transport orders, managing transport partners, and providing customer support. You will oversee orders from initial setup to successful completion, ensuring the smooth operation of all transport processes. Your responsibilities will include, in particular:

 

  • Recording, processing and monitoring of transport orders from existing customers
  • Checking order data for completeness and plausibility
  • Ensuring timely and proper order processing
  • Application for and monitoring of permits and licenses for international transport
  • Coordination and monitoring of customs-related processes in international transport
  • Procurement of transport capacities for national and international transport
  • Selection, commissioning and management of freight carriers and subcontractors
  • Conducting price negotiations and ensuring economical freight rates
  • Maintenance and further development of a high-performing transport partner network
  • Checking and completing order-relevant documents
  • Preparation of transport orders for invoicing
  • Ensuring complete and traceable documentation of all transport operations

  • Professional experience in transport logistics, dispatching or purchasing of transport services
  • Good knowledge of national and international transport logistics
  • Experience in working with customers, carriers and subcontractors
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of transport law and freight management
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and international transport regulations is an advantage.
  • Strong numerical skills and business acumen
  • English language skills are an advantage for international communication.
