JOB OPPORTUNITY: TRANSPORT COORDINATOR

Location: Nenagh, Co Tipperary
Reporting to: Transport Manager
Hours: 5 days over 7 on a 4-week rotating roster, including weekends

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you an organized, proactive professional with a passion for transport and logistics? Join our team as a Transport Coordinator, where you’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences across scheduled services, private hires, and tours.
Working as part of a team of 3-4 Coordinators, you’ll ensure 24/7 coverage of operations with a focus on your designated area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Driver Rostering: Create efficient driver schedules for regular services and private hires, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Real-Time Monitoring: Oversee transport systems to ensure all services run smoothly, taking corrective action when necessary.
• Systems Utilization: Leverage company software and information systems to optimize transport operations.
• Vehicle Allocation: Assign vehicles to drivers and jobs, coordinating inter-depot movements for maintenance needs.
• Driver Support: Act as the first point of contact for drivers, providing guidance, assistance, and vital information.
• Safety and Communication: Promote safe driver behavior, foster positive communication, and ensure respectful interactions between drivers and passengers.
• Problem Solving: Respond proactively to challenges, delivering practical solutions to ensure seamless operations.
