We are now looking for a Transport Loader to join our busy transport & logistics team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Operating within an established ISO Integrated Management System, this is a vital role with responsibility for the safe and accurate loading of goods to achieve daily targets in a timely and efficient manner to fulfil customer commitments.
Customer satisfaction is the goal and you will be expected to focus your efforts and contribute towards delivery of a first class service to our customers.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· Forklift counterbalance licence.
· Previous experience in a similar role.
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to prioritise workload to meet demands, targets and deadlines.
· Customer focused individual that is willing to go the extra mile.
· The ability to build strong working relationships with other team members and customers.
· Ability to follow procedures methodically.
· Able to work as part of a team

DESIRABLE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· Forklift reach licence.

Responsibilities

· Create bulk lists from a set run.
· Pull loads from a set run.
· Load vehicles in required drop order.
· Secure loads on vehicles ready for despatch.
· Report any defect that may be spotted on goods to be despatched, to Supervisor or Manager.
· Assist with picking.
· Listing of finished loads.
· Wearing appropriate uniform and personal protective clothing/equipment and observing all safety requirements/procedures.
· This list is not exhaustive and you will be expected to carry out any reasonable task as requested by your Supervisor/Manager.
