Together, we want to help you build a fulfilling career with Lifeblood.  About the role     We are looking for an experienced and values-driven Transport Manager to handle & oversee our operations in a highly regulated transport network that supports our donor centres, processing facilities, and approved health providers.   You’ll lead transport operations end-to-end—ensuring the safe, compliant, and timely movement of blood, biological products, consumables, and essential materials. Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll balance operational excellence with continuous improvement, always keeping patient outcomes at the centre.     Day to day in the role would look like:   Ensuring safe, compliant, and timely delivery of blood, biological products & consumables in accordance with regulatory and vehicle management policy requirement Manage transport budgets, analyse costs, and identify efficiency opportunities Own transport performance across SA, WA, and NT, acting as the key escalation point Take ownership of the Freight Management System (FMS), supporting users, ensuring data integrity, reconciling invoices, and troubleshooting any issues Build strong, trusted relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and healthcare partners and ensuring all transport service levels are met in timely manner with a focus on reliability and customer experience Oversee fleet operations in line with regulatory and organisational requirements (cGMP, TGA, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR)) Monitor and report on transport KPIs and contractual performance Drive continuous improvement through data, insights, and technology   Sound interesting? Here’s what we’re looking for:    Minimum 5+ years’ experience in transport and logistics, with hands-on involvement in managing transport operations & delivery networks Strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and regulated transport environments Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting and cost control Experience with freight management systems would be highly advantageous A natural collaborator with experience in managing stakeholders, suppliers, and service agreements Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment     This is a permanent, full-time opportunity (Monday to Friday) with a hybrid work arrangement (minimum three days in the office).
