JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Transport Manager to oversee our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods, managing transport schedules, and coordinating with various stakeholders to optimise supply chain processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of logistics, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proven experience in a transport or logistics management role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and other IT systems relevant to logistics management.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• A solid understanding of supply chain processes and best practices in logistics management.
• A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.

• Develop and implement transport strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage daily transport operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and compliance with safety regulations.
• Utilise IT systems to track shipments and manage logistics data effectively.
• Prepare reports on transport performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead a team of drivers and logistics personnel, providing training and support as needed.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all transport activities.
