ACE Sameday Couriers is a leading supplier of direct delivery, dedicated vehicle, sameday courier services. Our vehicle fleet from Caddy vans to 18T trucks covers the whole of the UK daily. Due to an exciting time of growth, we are looking for a Sameday Transport Operations Co-ordinator to be part of our highly regarded operations function

Working alongside our Operations Manager, Courier Controller and Operations team; the Sameday Transport Operations Co-ordinator will help to organise all aspects of deliveries and collections for clients and couriers alike, whilst troubleshooting and maintaining operational standards as appropriate. You will also be responsible for:

• Sourcing, negotiating for and organizing both outbound loads and backloads/return loads, through on-line platforms, direct email and phone contacts.
• Working closely alongside our Courier Controller, as a crucial part of our Operations team, to ensure effective and profitable use of vehicle resources in a fast-paced environment.
• Dealing with operational queries and issues arising.
• Issuing quotes, taking telephone and online bookings accurately and dealing with queries from clients and couriers alike. Our customer base covers all industry sectors from one-man enterprises to household name Blue Chip multinationals.
• Ensuring couriers comply with all relevant, current legislation, assisting with vehicle and driver administration and supporting the daily function of our busy office.
• Working closely within the operations team to cover holidays and sickness absence.
