We are seeking a Transport Operations Manager to help oversee our logistics and transportation operations. REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in transportation or logistics management, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Run distribution desk daily, overseeing shift operations. Working either Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday running one of 2 shifts spanning 02.00 to 16.00
  • Meet all customer service levels/criteria as agreed by the Sales Team
  • Arrange delivery rounds to the best fit of our geographical trading areas
  • Manage distribution through own fleet & 3rd party distributers including couriers & customer & supplier collections.
  • Arrange deliveries that target the various types and significance of our customers
  • Maintain high standards of customer service & hygiene commensurate with the desired Company Image
  • Maintain servicing schedules with fleet partners and report & deal with vehicle maintenance and servicing
  • Arrange communications cover & process to optimise customer service
  • Establish ‘best practice’ for product handling at all stages of processing & order collation
  • Ensure robust customer returns procedure is followed.
  • Ensure operation ofall systems & admin. standards are met
  • Ensure colleagues & fleet exemplify Company image at all times
  • Assist with driving (when required)
