JOB DESCRIPTION

Due to continued expansion, Revis Transport Ltd are seeking a Transport Planner to join our team at Tockwith on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
Reporting to the Transport Manager, the successful candidates will have the opportunity to grow and expand within the business.

EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar role, be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills.
Be proactive and able to work under their own initiative.
Computer Literate with experience of Transport Management systems.
Good UK road network and national geographic knowledge essential.
Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
Be able to make decisions under pressure, and to a tight timescale

Supervise a team of drivers issuing work daily.
Monitor and adjust transport plan as necessary to ensure optimum efficiency.
Route planning.
Allocating jobs and briefing drivers of delivery criteria required.
Ensure all keys tasks are completed in a timely manner to meet the needs of the business.
Proactively communicate with customers regarding any delays with loading & unloading of loads.
